Professor Vladimir Ivanovic of Belgrade University School of Dentistry

Power Point from 14th Biennial Congress of the European Society of Endodontology
Prof. Ivanovic presented the results of a comparative study that compared different methods and different devices for measuring the canal working length by locating apical constriction. The study was performed by first measuring the length of teeth destined for extraction (in vivo) and finished by measuring the location of the file in the extracted tooth. The study’s results significantly demonstrate that MedicNRG’s digital apex locators most accurately locate the apical constriction as compared with other devices and methods. MedicNRG’s devices located the apical constriction with a maximal tolerance of only 0.1mm and in no case was a long reading given (past apex). MedicNRG’s devices are based on unique digital technology proprietary to MedicNRG.
